SSH from Windows
Note
If you prefer to login from the command-line, such as WSL, follow the same steps as the Linux/Mac instructions.
What you'll need:
- MobaXterm (or any other SSH client of your choosing)
- UCF VPN (only needed if not connected to UCF internet)
- An account with the ARCC
- Your UCF NID
Windows users can choose their preferred SSH client, such as PuTTY or MobaXTerm. If unsure, many ARCC users choose MobaXterm as it offers a user friendly interface. The following steps and screenshots showcase how you can set up a connection to the ARCC clusters using MobaXterm.

Launch MobaXterm.

In the top left corner, click "Session"

For the Remote Host cell enter
stokes.ist.ucf.edu
ornewton.ist.ucf.edu
and for Specify username and enter your UCF NID -
If prompted to trust the server on first connection, click Accept.
- You should be prompted to enter you UCF password. Once that is entered, you have successfuly set up your ARCC connection on Windows.
