UCF Advanced Research Computing Center User Guide.
Welcome to the UCF ARCC User Guide! The ARCC supports high-performance computing resources at UCF, including accounts, allocations, and software.
Resources
- Stokes, a CPU-based general-purpose cluster
- Newton, a GPU-based (Graphical Processing Unit-based) cluster
- Data Transfer Node, as a part of the UCF Advanced Research Network, a science DMZ network for transfering large files
Research Facilitation
The UCF Advanced Research Computing Center maintains the clusters and data transfer nodes within the ARCC. This includes keeping the hardware running, creating user accounts and allocations, providing a job scheduler, and installing software. We also help users (in a somewhat limited basis) with software questions.
The Office of Research Infrastructure provides consulting on a larger portfolio of research computing needs as well. They provide assistance with ARCC software, but also provide services for many other pieces of software and services. They also organize many workshops for the university community.
